Chillingworth Road
One of our all time favourites is Chillingworth Road. If you are into relaxed fine dining, don’t miss it. A trip to Christchurch is not complete without trying one of their degustation menus and accompanying wines.
Smokey T’s
The award winning Smokey T’s is one of Christchurch’s premier street food restaurants. Think succulent, smoked, slow cooked meats… need we say more? Run by a former executive chef, the barbecue joint has become a real local favourite. We recommend the pork belly burger, it’s out of this world!
OGB
Located in the historic Old Government Buildings, OGB is a speakeasy style bar overlooking Cathedral Square. With an old fashioned vibe and service to match, it’s one of the most unique spots in the central city. There’s also regular live music, and a cocktail lounge (through a secret bookcase).
5th Street
5th Street’s reputation goes before them, named the Best Restaurant in Christchurch for 2020. The sharing options are fantastic, whether you are dining as a couple or a large group or family. The kitchen was even designed and built by the chefs themselves.
Tavern Harewood
If hearty pub food is more your thing, head down to the Tavern Harewood. Meals are reasonably priced, with weekly specialsif you time it right. A relaxed atmosphere and great service make for an all-round enjoyable experience.
