At North South Holiday Park, we have always believed in creating a welcoming, comfortable, and memorable place for guests to stay. Over the past few years, that commitment has been recognised by Holiday Parks New Zealand, as North South Holiday Park has received a number of awards at their national conferences.
2025: Large Park Development Award for Market Development & Growth
Most recently, North South Holiday Park won the 2025 Large Park Development Award for Market Development & Growth at the Holiday Parks New Zealand Awards in Nelson.
This award recognises the major investment we have made into new guest facilities and accommodation options, including our 3 Bedroom Unit, 2 Bedroom Unit, purpose-built Backpacker Deluxe Units, and shared Dining & TV Room.
These additions were designed to give guests more choice, comfort, and flexibility during their stay. The new family units provide more space for groups and families, while the group units are ideal for school groups, sports teams, and larger group bookings. Our Dining & TV Room also gives guests a relaxed place to gather, connect, eat, and recharge.
For us, this award is about more than new buildings. It reflects the heart, planning, and hard work that has gone into building something special for every family, group, and traveller who stays with us.
2023: Runner-Up in the Resco Best New Build Category
In 2023, our pool renovation was recognised at the HPNZ Conference, where North South Holiday Park was named Runner-Up in the Resco Best New Build category.
The pool upgrade has been a fantastic addition to the park, especially for families and guests visiting during the warmer months. While it was exciting to receive industry recognition, the best reward has been seeing guests enjoy the new space.
The renovation was part of our wider commitment to improving the park and creating facilities that help guests relax, unwind, and make the most of their time in Christchurch.
2021: Winner of the Resco Upgrade Under $100K Award
In 2021, North South Holiday Park proudly won the Resco Upgrade Under $100K Award.
This award recognised one of our earlier improvement projects and marked an important milestone in our ongoing development journey. It was a proud moment for our team and a reminder that even targeted upgrades can make a real difference to the guest experience.
Winning this award encouraged us to keep moving forward, planning the next project, and continuing to invest in the future of the holiday park.
